President Tinubu’s Message: Unity, Compassion, and National Support
Speaking to the press after the prayers, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to embrace the core values of Eid-el-Kabir — sacrifice, unity, generosity, and compassion, particularly toward the less privileged.
“As we make sacrifices, we should remember to pray and give to those who are vulnerable. We must come together as one — to be each other’s keepers and to love fully,” the President stated.
He also called for continued prayers for Nigeria’s armed forces, acknowledging their service and sacrifice in protecting the nation amidst ongoing security challenges such as terrorism and banditry.
“We must pray hard for our troops who are keeping us safe and making sacrifices in the face of challenges,” he added.
A Moment of National Significance
The Eid gathering, held at the historically symbolic Dodan Barracks, not only marked a religious observance but also served as a moment of national reflection — bringing together political leaders, business figures, and citizens in a show of unity and shared purpose.
