Lagos Government Debunks False Reports on Model Colleges and Upgraded Schools Admission Cut-Off Mark

The Lagos State Government has urged parents, guardians, and students to disregard a false publication circulating on social media regarding cut-off marks for admission into the State’s Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.

According to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs. Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, the claim that students who scored 50% in the recently conducted Computer-Based Test (CBT) will automatically be admitted is completely fake and misleading.

She made it clear that the information did not originate from the Lagos State Government or any of its official agencies, describing it as an attempt by fraudsters to mislead the public.

Mrs. Dokunmu-Adegbite advised the public to be patient and only rely on official announcements from the relevant government authorities regarding the admission process.

She also warned against engaging with individuals or platforms promising guaranteed admission or requesting money in exchange for such.

“Lagos State does not operate secret or unofficial admission processes,” she stated firmly.

Everyone is encouraged to stay informed through verified government channels and avoid falling victim to scams.
